Celebrating Women

International Women’s Day is a global event marked on 8th March every year, celebrating the social, cultural, economic, and political achievements of women. 

 

As well as celebrating the achievements of women, the day also provides an opportunity to: 

• Raise awareness about women’s equality 

• Lobby for accelerated gender parity. 

• Fundraise for female-focused charities 

 

The theme for this year’s event is ‘Inspire Inclusion’. When we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion, we forge a better world. When women themselves are inspired to be included, there's a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment. 

 

Seven Care Services champions women’s rights and we recognise and celebrate this important day throughout our organisation.
