At Seven Care Services, Learning Disability Week is more than just a date in the calendar—it’s an opportunity to listen, learn, and amplify the voices of the people we support every day.
This year’s theme, “Do You See Me?”, resonates deeply with our mission: to ensure individuals with learning disabilities are not only seen, but heard, valued, and empowered to live fulfilling lives.
🌟 Celebrating Strength
We’re proud to support extraordinary individuals across Coventry, Warwickshire, and the West Midlands—people like Louise, who uses her creativity and resilience to overcome daily challenges, or Sukhdev, whose passion for maths and Punjabi music reminds us of the rich talents our service users bring to the world.
Each story we encounter is a testament to the strength, individuality, and potential that exists within our learning disability community. During this week, we honour their achievements and the journeys they are on.
👥 Promoting Inclusion and Visibility
Seven Care Services provides 24/7 1:1 and 2:1 care, supported living, and autism assessments. But beyond clinical support, we champion inclusion in every interaction. Whether it's helping someone attend a local group in Nuneaton, supporting a client to visit their dad in Rugby, or enabling someone to join a cooking session for the first time, our focus is always on enabling independence and dignity.
As part of this year’s campaign, we’re encouraging everyone—staff, families, and our wider community—to ask: "Am I truly seeing the person, or just their diagnosis?"
🛠 Taking Action: Our Commitment
Training & Development: Our care staff receive specialist training in working with people with autism and learning disabilities, including communication strategies and neurodiverse-affirming approaches.
Advocacy: We work closely with local authorities, MDTs, and NHS partners to ensure our clients' voices are central to decisions that affect their lives.
Innovation: Through personalised care planning and assistive technology, we strive to break down barriers to everyday living.
💬 A Message from Our Director
“This week reminds us why we do what we do. Everyone deserves to be seen, respected, and supported to thrive. At Seven Care Services, we’re committed to creating a society where difference is embraced and every individual is celebrated.”
— Jeb Singh, Director of Services
